About Us

Who We Are

Vertical Divider
Chartered in 1931 as a new seaside church, we set forth anew mission statement in 2019: Caring, Sharing and Growing God's Love in our Communities. As a PC(USA) congregation, we welcome all, regardless of race, gender, sexuality, economics, or ability. Our worship features current expressions of our Reformed heritage. In 2020, we began drive-through communion & strengthened our social media presence and ministry partnerships in the community, focusing on both emergency relief and justice.

  • An Open & Affirming Church. We welcome LGBTQIA+ people into full membership and leadership in our church and partner with other groups working to extend that welcome throughout society.
  • A Spirit-Led Church - Reformed and always being reformed.
  • A Welcoming Church – We embrace all regardless of place on life’s journey.
  • A member congregation of New Castle Presbytery (NCP)
  • A PC(USA) Church - Guided by its Confessions and Book of Order.
  • A Missional Church - Active in local, presbytery, PC(USA) and international missions.
  • A Joy-Filled Church - Celebrating God in word, music and fellowship.

Our history...

Vertical Divider
Westminster Presbyterian Church was chartered on November 1, 1931 with the church building dedicated July 10, 1932.  A 1956 expansion of the sanctuary added transepts (side areas) which give the building the shape of a cross (cruciform) and in 2010 we expanded the narthex and added an elevator.

The Reverend Eddie Jusino

Picture
The Rev. Eddie Jusino was born and raised a Catholic, attending parochial school from kindergarten through 12th grade in Puerto Rico. While at school, serving as an altar boy, Eddie felt for the very first time the tug in his heart to consider becoming a priest. When you feel God tugging at your heart, you must respond. For Eddie, it wasn’t until after attending Brentwood Presbyterian Church in West Los Angeles when he finally saw ministry as his true calling, after a fruitful career in corporate America for sixteen years. While working in corporate America, Eddie traveled through Europe, the UK, Japan, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Eddie holds an MA in Marketing from Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon, an MBA in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona and his MDiv from San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo, California. Throughout his twenty-seven years in ministry, Eddie has served urban, suburban, and rural churches in Washington, DC, Iowa, Kansas, New York and Michigan. He and his wife, Pam, have two children, Emmett and Charlotte and an amazing grandson, Torren. Eddie loves hiking with Pam, bird watching, scattering sunflower seeds for the birds and whoever else is looking for a quick snack, and at the end of the day, reading Guidepost stories with Pam before going to bed. You can catch him at the local coffee house.
